Default Replace ignition coils with spark plugs?

Hello,

I have an is250 and wanted to know if you guys would recommend replacing the ignition coils when replacing the spark plugs? If so, what is the part number for the ignition coils?

Thanks in advance!

No unless you have issue with the coil itself.

the coils are 90 a piece after market and $147 a piece OEM. and your car needs 6 of them. If you got money like that, the go ahead but definitely not necessary. Just the plugs would do fine

Well, then you would wait until they start to fail, and leave you limping along the road with low power until you can get them replaced.... Been there, no thanks. Stay ahead of it.

Generally ignition coils in my experience should be replaced every 100k or so. Basically swapped out every other plug change.

My last is350 had 135k miles when it got rear ended. I changed the plugs twice at 60k and 120k. Never had any problem with the coils.
I would just do the plugs first. If the coils act up, you can always change them after that.

I have a 2008 IS250 6AT and just am changing them now at 194k miles. My up stream air fuel ratio sensors are also needed to be replaced as well as my camshaft intake and exhaust position sensors
