Supposedly, the 09-10 got an "upgrade" of the paddle shift program...if it did, it aint that great. The paddle shifters on my CVT Altima were better...no joke.

I would pick the lower miles too.

After doing a bit more research, it seems that 08 would be better. Some members with 06-07 have reported various issues which include the timing chain cover oil leak which costs over $3000. Although the 08 has 23,000 more miles on it, in the long run it would be less of a hassle to maintain.

I bought my 06 is350 in January, no problems...it's my 3rd Lexus so I know what to expect.

i guess it depends on the car, but the early IS models have had so many recalls.. like the valve spring, 2013 recall, and the timing chain oil leak which is not covered under recalls:/

The timing chain cover problem isn't limited to only 06-07 model year IS350. I'd go with the lower mileage car - there were no material changes between 07 and 08. The "black chrome" wheel color get old after a while (they just look dirty).
