Default Should I pull trigger on this 350?

Hey guys, so im about 2 weeks or less on being ready to pull the trigger on an is350. Wanted to see if this is a good deal and what you guys think...

http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-...sting=74040884

I really want a low mileage 350 since i will be financing and most likely keeping it for a while. I know you guys say to be patient but ive been searching for a while all over the U.S and actually found this one which is actually only 30 miles away and it just seems like a pretty good deal , especially since it has so little miles and I can most likely get the price lower.

So the car is a 2007 listed for $19500 with only 34k miles. the thing is according to the free carfax it had 3 owners and I seen on there under services it did have the engine checked.. not sure if that would be a bad thing? Also the dealer doesnt have a really hot rating 2.5 stars out of 5. Apperntly it has the sports package but no navi, which is pretty big but not a deal breaker. And I do like the metador red color.

So, would you guys pull the trigger on the car is they came down to about 18k? maybe lower ? If you can take a look at the link and tell me what you think itll be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it were me I would not,

Dealer does seem to be sketch, and I do honestly believe there are better deals out there.

If you create an online lexus acct you can see the service history

There are better deals out there. Just wait and one good one may show up for sure. I waited half a year for either a 328i or IS350 and found my 07 IS350 in October of 2010 in Bensenville, almost 4 years ago with 49K miles for only $20,300. Get them down to $17K or $18K and it may be worth it.

Yeah, I'd have to agree that you can still get that price down more. I nearly paid that much in April '11 for my '06 IS350 with LESS miles with the sports pkg w/ NAV. It had two previous owners (which really wasn't a big deal to me). They probably got that vehicle in trade and didn't pay the previous owner but $15k; so you've got plenty of room to play with.

Also, though that dealership might not be that great for whatever reason, you can bypass the financing aspect of that dealership by getting what will probably a lower interest rate from a credit union.

Talk them down as much as you can and definitely go through "outside financing" to save you on interest rates and hassle. Year and miles seems like a great buy. I love my is350!

That does not have the sport package. You can immediately tell by the front lip, the wheel gap, and the rims. Also three owners with such low mileage is not a good indicator.

is it bad that the car had 3 owners? First had it as lease for a year, then it shows 2nd owner had it for something like 3 months, and then 3rd had it for 3.5 years...Also carfax showed it had engine checked?

I would look other places. Craigslist etc. I bought my car on eBay Motors and it was the best decision I ever made. You have enough $$$ to play with.

I have owned a 2007 IS350 with roughly 34,000 miles (I am the sole owner) and it really rarely is driven to have that mileage (drive two other cars). Depends if the engine check was for the value springs or the rattling pin or something else. The owner of the car that had it for 3.5 years might have never changed the brake fluid or oil and let it sit around for a while. If I ever leased a car, I would just drive it like I stole it, knowing that I would not have to deal with any issues that would come up in the future. Also I would never place any trust carfax anyways. My sister sold her first car which had 4 accidents and none of them showed up in the report.

I found this one also that i really like because from the pics it def has the sports package plus navi plus memory seats...also the gas and brake pedals are chrome so is that X package?

http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars...50_225231747_6

But check out that price? And its a 2006, although it only has 29k miles! But I could of sworn I seen this for $18,500 and now they have it for $22,500. I spoke with the guy and he said they have room to negotiate but after I mentioned 18500 he said they paid
a little over 19 for it? i know its too much to pay but looks good plus has more goodies like navi and sports package and even less miles lol.. what you guys think?

It's certainly not good. people who lease usually abuse their cars as they'll return it after . I always look for one owner cars. The chances to get a great car and well maintain are higher.

^Honestly, whom usually leases Lexus vehicles? Not teens or those wanting a "fun" car to smash-about. Yes, 1-owner vehicles are usually best to look for; but as long as the vehicle was well-maintained AND the Lexus service records back it up, what's wrong with it?

I would not its a 2007 with only 35000 miles on it doesn't make sense. On the discription it states something about a navigation....no such thing I would pass on it if I where you. Remember carfax only shows things that are reported.

Just for a frame of reference, I got my '08 in November with 24k on it. It was listed at 27500. I got him down to 23500. But I took my chances. Car could have been gone. I negotiated for a month.
