It depends on whether or not the car came with the package which includes it. If not, there's a DIY in the forum that will help you with this. Of course, you'll need a subscription, but I think if you have the parts already if you go to SAT in the car it'll just play advertisement for setting up (Correct me if I'm wrong here people - been a few years since I've not had it).

First you need to determine weather your car was ordered with Satellite Radio. Many early models of the 2IS 2006-2009 did not have it, It wasn't a standard feature until 2010. You can hit the AM-SAT button and if it says SAT on the screen then you have Satellite Radio. If not there are forums such as the one above where it will take you step by step how to install it. From what I see parts have been discontinued for the add-on kit. You can always go aftermarket, but either way it won't be cheap.

Aftermarket may be cheaper than the real deal. You may net more features with aftermarket as well.

Yes, Vaistech makes it very easy to integrate Satellite Radio into the IS!

I added Sirius to my '07 IS250 (non nav/non satellite). I got lucky and ordered a Vais SLS2 kit on ebay for about $75 that also included the Sirius SC-C1 tuner. I bought the Shark fin adapter cable on amazon for 59.99 and a set of plastic trim removal tools for about 15. Total cost was $150 installed :-)

Also my wife's A4 had Sirius set up on her car. We called and attempted to cancel and they offered a year for around ~$160 (about half off) and at the same time we added my car for the same package.
