IS-F Motor & Tranny Swap into ISx50! The real deal
**** Hope this finds a good home :/
*3/6 - Long overdue updates! The make or break of the swap - Wiring 90% complete! Post 77
*12/21 - Test fitting the 2urgse into the IS350 chasis !! Post 57
*12/20 - Scored the only US Greddy mp92 S/C with custom manifold for the 2urgse, Post 54
*12/4 - Quick comparison and installation of some fuel items, Post 2 & 3
*11/23
Life has me focusing more on real estate.... Motor & Tranny is FS!
Hey guys, I figured I'd start this thread to keep things interesting and maybe give/receive some insightful information. I havent started any real effort, just in the planning and design phases of understanding if this swap is realistically feasible. Financially, I have a number I want to stay under and I am well under that threshold with the parts I have already purchased:
`09 ISF 2URGSE complete with engine wiring harness, tranny harness, alternator, a/c comp and starter
`09 ISF 2URGSE ECU
`09 ISF AA80E transmission complete with all hardware to DS
`09 ISF AA80E ECU
`09 ISF complete intank fuel pump assembly
`09 ISF fuel sender unit (intank)
`09 ISF misc. relays, cut harness main engine fuse box
`PPE Headers
So whats this thread about?
Swapping a 2URGSE & AA80E into my 2006 Lexus IS350.
Why? Honestly, because I love my car and have too much money in it to ever get back selling/parting. Buying an ISF over my IS350 isnt for me. My WHP goal is 500 and that will NEVER be achieved on my current platform without serious time, very serious money and effort. I was close to doing a 3UZFE swap but if I were to use older hardware then why not just 2jzgte (which I did not want to do on this platform).
Feel free to comment and bring up questions, differences, etc. Anything that can spark ideas or thought would be much appreciated.
Sorry for the terrible pics...and yes, I need to clean!

Reserved for updates**
12/4 Intank Fuel mechanism installed
Drastic differences between the IS350 (left) and IS-F (right) intank fuel units. Not a big surprise but the IS-F has a much larger fuel pump; its drastically wider in diameter. The housing is designed around the large pump and differs greatly from the ISx50. Same effective design just very different layout. It dropped right into the tank and I drove around to monitor stock functionality.
Around the engine outside of the ECU and Tranny ECU:
Differences:
Driveshaft - ISF is 2" shorter to account for longer AA80e.
Main room engine harness...the ISF has ACIS (vsv) for the secondary intake valve and a few other pieces parts. Soooo many of the wires are routed differently through the harness to account for differences including the AA80e.
Relays for ISF EFI (1 & 2)
Fuel pump (obtained from ISF)
Fuel Sender (obtained from ISF)
Fuel Line configuration and routing.
Main room harness is 82111:

12/21 - Subframe is identical (despite confirming part #s, nothing like proving first hand)
12/4 Fuel Sender confirmed match IS350 & IS-F
Installed a secondary intank fuel sender from the IS-F. Its a confirmed match though part numbers online varied. Stamped 53030. No difference at all...good sign:
Around the engine outside of the ECU and Tranny ECU:
Matching Parts:
Computer Sub-Assembly, Shift Lock Control
Switch, Transmission Control
Ignitor
MAF
Relay, Heater (for A/F sensor)
Relay Assembly, Fuel Pump
