Would A Lexus Dealership lie?
How can i tell if my water pump, thermostat, spark plugs has being replaced?
This is what happened...
I took my car for 60k mile service at Lexus. They said my car is ready for pickup so i went to Lexus to pick it up...and service advisor said i need to change my water pump, thermostat, hoses...so I said, go ahead and do it...
It was closing time...so they said they will do it first thing in the morning...
Before I left dealership, I saw my car parked outside in their parking lot...
I was assuming they would park it inside after they close...
I have Vossen wheels and stereo system and other aftermarket stuff.
I was worried so I came back to dealership at night time around 9pm...they were closed and my car was still parked outside...i just said fu_k and left...
So this afternoon, i called and asked if my car is ready...they said, "yes"...
So when I went to pick it up today, my car was parked in the exact same spot as last night...
I don't think they even moved it to change my water pump, thermostat...
But i paid and left...
Now I am wondering if they ever changed my water pump, thermostat...or even did the 60k mile service...
Also, usually they wash my car after service...and my car was NOT washed...
So how can I tell if my water pump, thermostat, and spark plugs have been changed???

Most shops will give you or at least show you your old parts.
If it hasn't been too long since they did the work, i would go back and ask for your old parts.
Edit:
Also, if they changed your water pump and thermostat then you should have had your coolant changed, and that should be an easy thing to visually inspect.

Take it to an independent shop for a tech review. If they mentioned that the pump and hoses are not new, then get lawyers involved since they tried to scam you on purpose. On top of the refund for legal fees and repait cost, the dealership will most like get fined by government agency.
You can basically check to see if anything changed under your hood. You should see difference on engine cover and bolts have been scratched from the tools. Replaced parts should be free of dirt and dusts. Check the hoses to see for wears such as wrinkle, faded color, dust accumulation.
Shady shops and dealership needs to be put out of business since it harms the consumers.
After you have the letigation put in, report the shop to Corporate Lexus to rub salt on the wound.

I am thinking of taking it to a local shop and let them have a look...
You said that they can be fined by government...
Isn't the government closed...lol
Joking about shutdown, just heard on news...there were shots fired at the Capitol...
People are crazy!!!

^Orange or white arrow on the tips of the spark plugs; only those from the factory had them stamped like that. So the OP in this case with only 60k miles should of had/have the factory plugs. If he finds the arrows on his, they're still the factory plugs.
Hell, if he pulled the plug regardless, you shoul still be able to tell a plug with 60k miles on it vs one with 20 miles on it.

can u just pop open front hood and inspect these items (spark plugs, water pump, thermostat) or do you need special tools to remove other parts in order to get to these items...
I have no idea where these parts are located...

These arrows were on my factory plugs when I pulled them after 120k miles
