Seat squeaks! Driving me freaking crazy!
My freaking seat squeaks so bad and I know its coming from where the screws where the seat connects to the car. What is a good permanent solution? WD-40? Oil?
I might be missing a plastic piece where you screw in...Anyone know where I can order that part?

I am pretty sure its the missing plastic piece that I mentioned but I don't know where I can get that part. I was looking on Sewell lexus but couldn't find it. Maybe someone else has a better eye?

I feel your pain. I'm taking my car in on Wednesday. I plan on bring a copy of the TSB in hopes they will perform the fix even though my warranty expired a while ago.

I had the same problem. I'm past the 50K but I was fortunate enough to have my lumbar support motor fail (under extended warranty) so they repaired my squeaky seat at no cost.

My driver's seat was squeaking something fierce about 6 months ago, and the dealer took the thing apart and lubed just about everything they could, and voila! No more noise. I'm under 7yr/100k Platinum VSA until 2/14. I've been a bit **** about bringing every little concern to the dealer's attention every time I bring it in, as I do plan to keep this car for the long haul, and might as well get these little niggles fixed under warranty.

So I left my car with the dealer today. They completed two product updates (wipers and trunk). Additionally, they did the TSB on the squeaky seat and disabled by DRL's. I couldn't be happier, especially regarding my driver's seat which is no longer squeaking, yay!
Anyways, my car is not under warranty. I paid $126 for the squeaky seat TSB and $26 to have my DRL's disabled. Thought I'd pass the cost along in case someone else could use the info.
Cheers.

Per the TSB, the cause of the seat squeak is the guide pins used to properly align the seat during assembly onto the rail. The pins are normally covered with a rubber boot, but the boot sometimes gets worn, and you get metal on metal squeaking. The TSB procedure involves removing the seat, and dremeling that pin off.
I had the seat squeak myself, but rather than going to the dealer, I simply popped off the plastic covers on the four corners of the rails and tightened the bolts that hold the rail to the floor of the car. One of the bolts was loose enough that I could spin it by hand. 5 years later, and still no more squeaking.

I am disappointed with Lexus. I have a nasty rattling sound in my rear deck and Sewell Lexus told me is not covered under warranty. I expected more from a Lexus, hell even my camry didn't have any rattles.
