My car had the same issue, it had to be lubricated, adjusted, and insulated in order to fix the issue.

63214F is the part rattling for me. Not sure why it's rattling or how to fix yet. Looks like it's some kind of drip rail that channels water into the drains.

Hey guys, my moon roof rattle is back when I drive over certain type of bumps. This time it's caused by the whole moon roof movement on the passenger side. In the video, you can see me pushing the the whole glass up, and it would go up and back down making the rattle noise you hear. Next I tried pushing on the driver side, the glass doesn't give at all and there is no rattle. Anyone know if there is a screw that could be tighten such that it can't be pushed up?

yeah, the moon roof rattles seem to be an annoying problem with the IS -- all the people with rattles seems to be rattling from different places too.

2006 2007 and 2008 IS250 seems to have more problems, transmission jerking, sunproof, driveshaft, fuse blown and carbon build up

I reckon I've been living with the same rattle you describe - certainly able to replicate the rattle by pushing the rear of the glass frame up when the roof was in the closed position. After a 6 hour drive yesterday on some ordinary roads where the rattle really started to drive me nuts, I decided to do something about it.

With the roof in the tilted up position, I removed the four torx screws holding the glass in position. You have to be careful with these as they are tourqued down tight and will strip easily if you haven't seated the bit properly. With the glass out of the care you can then get a good look at the roof mechanism.

The only part that I could see being the source of the rattle was where the arm that supports the glass is attached to the sliding part of the roof mechanism (63205A in the Sewell schematic). Admittedly the rattle seemed to come more from sideways movement of the supporting arm but again, it seems to the only part of the whole roof setup that has two hard surfaces in contact with each other where movement is possible.

I threaded about 1.5" of some fairly thin foam insulating rod between the underside of the arm and the top of the sliding component. It was a pretty tight fit but will hopefully ensure it doesn't come out. Even prior to reinstalling the glass, I was confident the foam rod was creating enough positive pressure between the two parts to prevent excessive movement and eliminate the rattle or at least dampen the sound dramatically.

Reinstalling the glass is pretty straightforward but aligning with the roof panel takes a bit of time. Hope this helps!

Has anyone ever find how to fix this problem ?

while op's noise stop when pressing the middle part, mine stop when pressing the front part. I thought changing the sunroof seal would fix the problem, but it didn't
