How do I know if my car has the sport package
Just picked up an 09 350 and I always thought the lip kit meant sport package (which my car doesnt have) but then I read a post that the 18 inch wheels are sport package. Just wondering how I can tell, and what exactly the sport package is? TIA.

Found this useful post about this Kurtz posted a while back....
Premium- This was only the vented/heated seats and woodgrain interior.
Luxury package- Same items as premium PLUS all of the following: Illuminated door sills, HIDs, memory seats, power tilt/telescope steering wheel, auto-tilt and auto-dim side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, power rear sunshade. There's a Luxury package with 18" wheels and one without, but I've never actually seen a Lux package car without the 18s.
Sports package- same the luxury package EXCEPT: No woodgrain, no illuminated door sills, and no power rear sunshade, but you gain the sport pedals, sport suspension, and sport door sills (aluminum). 18 inch wheels were a part of the sport package (no option to get 17s with it).
that's it.
All other options (navigation, mark levinson, rear spoiler, PCS, headlight washers, and satelite radio) are stand alone options not part of any package.
He was referring to an 06 model, but it should be the same pretty much.

you can have multiple pkgs,
I have the X pkg (which includes the sport) and premium pkg. From what I know, not many of the early IS had the luxury pkg. either that or I haven't seen them

It sounds like you probably have the "Navigation System with Additional Options" package (middle package w/ rear lip spoiler) + 18"s and the previous owner installed the sport pedals. I just installed the sport pedals on my 350 and it sounds like we have everything else the same. A sure way to tell if you have a sports package is the seats. F-Sport package comes with microsuede inserts, so the seats are only heated and not ventilated. Plus there would be roughly 1,000,000 F-Sport Badges in and around the car. lol

So I think I must have the basic with a few options then, but its a little confusing. I have the woodgrain but its the black wood, navi, spoiler and 18" wheels. This info would have been great if I had seen it while shopping, even though Im still happy! I was more worried about not having the sport package if it included performance extras
