Default newbie here

I just picked up a 09 is250 awd, my wife wants a navi unit in it. I have read a few post on the aftermarket alternative, flyaudio and the alibaba unit. Their seems to be alot of pros and cons price being a big factor. I want to know if I can use OEM navi, and will it be plug and play as these other units claim to be? I also found this website online not sure if its the same one as the flyaudio?
link:http://www.oemcargps.com/lexus-is250...io-p-1262.html

I have read a few pages with no real answers, I was hoping someone can direct me in the right direction.

An OEM navi will NOT be plug and play, the easiest unit to install would be the flyaudio/alibaba/china unit.

That unit in the link you posted looks just like the flyaudio unit but more expensive. If you really want the navi, I would go with the alibaba/china unit

Ehh I would have to disagree, but thats your opinion.

I just dont want the OP to this this is a great option. Its really not. The unit (just like the flyaudio) still has some minor issues that dont make it worth the money to me, even at half the price of a FA unit. There are slight fitment issues that require newer or older A/C vents, depending on which model you buy and what year 2IS you have

He have an 09 is250 which doesn't required a/c vents upgrade. There's only 2 issue that the unit have which is the Degree instead of F it is C, and that the FM radio doesn't show correct number. The issue with the FM radio is a quick fix on the other thread. So really only thing is the temperature which is minor. For $540 that i spent, i was able to watch dvd, have backup camera, navigation, play mp3 through USB or ipod and pandora via Bluetooth... Now, with all that said, i think it out weight one concern of temperature display differences.

Like knbnguyen said... the lsq/alibaba unit is a pretty good bang for the buck at under $600. If you have tackled DIY's in the past this install is a piece of cake following the instructions on this forum.
