Front bumper hit parking curb with IS250
Hello all,
Unfortunately, my front bumper hit the parking curb and I want to know what my options are. My heart just dropped when this happen and I want to figure out what I can do to fix or make it less visible without an outrageous amount of money or replacing the whole bumper. I know it is not that visible but it still really pains me to know it in my head. The car is IS250 model '07 I think. It was bought in '08.
Also since I am here and don't want to make another thread, can someone tell me if it is possible to make the orange light appear at a lower speed. I get all excited when I see that orange light going at 80 so I would like to change it to somewhere around 50.

Hard to tell from that pic but the damage looks fairly minor?! I'd hit it with some touch up paint if you have any.. probably the "quick and dirty" solution.. that part of your bumper is subject to the business end of whatever's on the road so its really up to you how much time you put into it..

Thanks for the welcome, I will upload another picture later. As of right now I am in a hurry to go somewhere. Can you explain the "quick and dirty" solution for me please? Can you also explain why touch up paint isn't a good route? Thank you both!

You can use factory touch up paint but I've nevertheless it because it covers the chip but isn't smooth. That's just a personal opinion though but it does work.

You could also buy a GFX lip and it should cover it and you'll look nicer

You can make the orange light appear at a lower speed. On the left of your steering wheel are 3 buttons that look something like this:
< O >
Press the arrows to scroll through the menu till you hit speed indicator (or similar). You can then select the speed at which the orange light appears

Do you guys know how much a stock front lip would range in its cost or does it depend on the dealership itself? Getting a new front lip would be great. I never knew you could replace only that part and that also replaces another huge scratch on drivers side from previous curb hit. Looking back at this, I suck with parking next to curbs but mistake = experience . Thanks for the orange light instructions.
