I have to agree too. If the price is too good to be true, it's counterfeit.
Essentially means supralative, you got burned because they are not genuine Philips.
Here is the pictures to show differences between genuine and counterfeit.

Another good example is anime DVDs on Ebay. Almost 99% of them is counterfeit!

Thanks for posting photos of fake vs real.
Does anyone know what the red salt does in the HID bulb?

To beat it to death some more, couldn't supralative been refering to Philips CrystalVision, not Ultinon?
To support supralative, just because it's not authentic doesn't mean it's not good. A lot of factories run their manufacturing process overcapacity to produce more goods that can be sold outside of the company they are producing it for.
Just because the glass bottom, glass tip, or insulator tube is not the same does not mean that it was not made at the same facility. I have no comment about the quality, but I'm sure they can reproduce a similar objective (shine bright like a diamond).

Not authentic can be not good especially tricking the unsuspected into purchasing the product under the assumption it's the genuine article. If the person knows they are getting a counterfeit item and getting it anyways, that's a different story and it's up to them; its a gamble if the quality is good or not.
I'm sure Philips doesn't want to ruin their reputation by producing counterfeits from their Germany factory for these bulbs. Something called audits, contracts and other things which could have them end up in legal troubles.
Also, just to note, Ultinon are made on a limited production.

One slight problem.... CrystalVision doesn't exist for the D4 line.

As for the price, one factors is the limited production they produce.

The XenonDepot D4S 5000k bulbs have been a super popular seller on this board. They will provide you with a bright white output however you will get rid of that yellowish tone that the stock bulbs have.

Anyone tried the Morimoto's HID bulbs and compared them to the Garax and Philips?
