Hi, i bought my 2007 is250 on Dec 2009 as a CPO car, my battery is really weak recently and is time to change it, i called a dealer, they said battery does not cover under CPO warranty, but i read many threads saying that dealers will change the battery for free........i am really confuse? pls advise
I think the battery has its own warranty if it's change by the dealer with Lexus battery? My car's battery failed the load test after a year or so, though it starts the car fine with a little pause, and the dealer changed it under warranty when I was getting oil change.
From what I understand there's a 84 month warranty on the OEM Lexus battery. The first 24 months include free replacement of the battery. The last 60 months are prorated. It's separate from the CPO warranty (battery would fall into wear & tear category i'm sure)
