Doesn't look as bad as I thought.
About to take a 1,200 mile road trip and do a week of hiking in the smoky mountains, was thinking about protecting the car and decided on painters tape. Didn't turn out half bad at all, it looks a lot less funny than I had imagined, need to finish the rest of the bumper today.

yea, from a few feet back you can't tell its tape. Almost looks like a vinyl wrap. Hope it gets the job done and it was worth the work. Still have some more to do today, ran out of energy yesterday and it got too dark.

Lol, i don't paint and I hate sanding, the result of making a few customer fiberglass enclosures at one point, was such a pita.
I just took my time and didn't want it to look too goofy. Thanks for the encouragement will help me finish the rest later tonight!

Off topic, but did you used to have a tc? I think I bought a sub box off of you. Nice to see other Scion owners going to Lexus.

Nice. It's definitely worth it! I've done it a few times now and being able to just remove the tape and have 0 bugs and chips after a long road trip feels great

lol, that might be interesting to put on top of the painters tape if someone had a bunch of time on their hands.
