You might have to swap out the tranny as well. Idk if the 250 one can handle the extra 100hp

Do it. Document it. Sell the info to help others.

Or get another car
I second that. Just do it and document it. Honestly, if there were local shops in hawaii that specialize in toyota, i'd total go for it too.

The ECU can't change the 12:1 compression ratio (nor the very specific piston design required for proper operation)

And TOMs in Japan does reprogram the ECU (JDM ECU only) and their kit runs... 5.5 psi. Pretty much the same as the US kits.
I thought the ECU was the problem. Not being able to tune the engine to compensate for the higher compression ratio.. The reprogram of the JDM was very minimal

It's not the engine it's the car. Jus Wanted it faster ... I love driving my Lexus. Maybe jus put some nitrous for now. That's what I had planed on 1st then knowing myself I knew i would be going through bottles like crazy, then thought a swap would be better. I see now that it's not. Dnt have the money to waste if it doesn't work out.

How does a computer program change the laws of physics exactly? I mean you can get a little headroom playing with timing, but only a little.

(see also the fact the folks who have MAPECU3s and F-Cons running on their 2ISes are still limited to 7-ish psi)... in theory a 350 might be able to get a little higher with better-than-OEM fueling, but again probably not much higher before cylinder pressures kill you (or kill the engine at least)

Ecu to Regulate timming and fuel.I thought no MAPECU of F-CON could sync all our iinjectors together? I thought the problem with high comp was heat and detonation? Aren't there always to control the heat. Meth/water injec?

I say go get the Evo, then go to the Evo forums.
Clearly they are in the same mindset you are.

I'd get an IS-F before I get an Evo.

And what mindset is that? Use a sport/luxury vehicle for sport/luxury? Wow who would think of doing such a thing? Maybe I should jus stick all the show add ons the vehicle and drive it below the speed limit and act like my **** dnt stink. Lol

I dont think he was trying to hate bro. By "mindset" I think he ment trying to get 500hp out of a specific car because unlike Evos, we cant do that.

A Chevy for $54k? Sorry but thats throwing money down the drain. For that amount of money, you can buy a Evo/STI (sorry to keep repeating myself but these are very tuner friendly cars) and tune the living crap out of it. You can also get a G37/370Z and turbo that as well. A lot cheaper and will be better quality.
