Default Infant car seat in IS250

Any one have success stuffing rear facing infant car seat in the back of an IS250/350? More specifically the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 30 pounder? It barely fits in my wife's Cruze, and we have to use it in the center position only.

Lol that's gonna be a tough fit...honestly one of the reasons I just got my IS was bec I had to wait until my son turned 3 and could just use the booster seat bec the newborn type car seat is a very tight fit especially if someone is in e passenger front seat...

We had the same carseat. I had to pull.forward the front passenger seat slightly for rear facing position. with our second child, we decided to get a minivan!

Haha I totally didn't buy that name. I was like "what super Italian designer made a car seat!?"

Anyway, it's real:
DIMENSION AND WEIGHT
Primo Viaggio SIP 30-30
25.75" x 17.25" x 25.75" (h-w-d)
11 lb

Size it up gurus

it's real alright. My wife bought the damn thing for 300 bux because the sales lady finagled her in to teh matching, equally peverpriced stroller.

I haven't even tried to put in my car yet. I think the center position is the best bet, or behind the passenger seat and I sacrifice that position.

I have two car seats, but only one is still rear facing... The rear facing one is very tight, good thing my wife is short or she prob wouldn't fit in the passenger seat. I can get a pic of the actual seat in its base when its available.

EDIT: I have also since removed all of the rear headrests... allows the kids seats to fit a little better and increases your ability to see out the rear window

We have the same Chicco rear facing car seat. Sturdy but heavy.

We are expecting our first in March so wanted to test out the IS250 for infant seats. We borrowed my sister-in-law's Chicco Keyfit 30, which supposedly is on the small side for rear-facing infant seats. Tested it on the passenger side, and had to move the seat up a pretty good amount. I am only 5'9" and my knees were still hitting the dash. Probably ok for short trips, but not much more than that.

I was hoping to use the IS250 as our main baby hauler, but it appears we'll have to look into SUVs and keep the IS for limited baby use.

Congrats!
I stick my 5yr old with booster behind me which works good, and then the 1.5yr old in the rear facing seat behind the passenger. I rarely carry a pasenger when hauling the 2 kids - so I just move the passenger seat forward and it works out fine.
If it's all 4 of us - I always drive and the wife is the passenger, she's only 5'4" or so - and isn't cramped at all since she's small.
It isn't a full size car - but it's doable.

I ended up buying a Volvo s60 and sellng the IS. The Volvo swallowed up the whole family, a stroller, a playpen and 3 days worth of diapers for 600km road trip. Not bad.
