Anyone got a dash cover for their car?
So I decided not to buy a beater and just daily drive my is350. It will be exposed to the sun and I'm very iffy when it comes to my leather/vinyl/dashboard crackig or fading.
I want to order a dash cover for now. Where did you guys get yours? Thinking of getting this.

For the same price you can get a sunshade, get that added protection plus some added privacy
or Llumar AIRBlue 80 ceramic window film for the front windshield...
either option works just depends on your budget

Yeah, dash covers are not a style you want to have on your Lexus. That's looking for a Honda badge to replace the one you lost on your 350. Get a sunshade from your dealer. The one that fits like a glove. But like stated above, the ceramic tint may be enough.

I never understood why people getting those ugly dash covers, to protect the dash? people trying to save the dash for later in life to use it for what? so they can pull dash cover off in 10 years and use it? thn why not wrap seats, steering wheel, door handles, mirrors, seat belts in something? Maybe can someone please explain that to me whoever is looking to purchase one, I always wondered about that but couldnt find the explanation.

if you are really concerned, make sure you get a good interior vinyl cleaner from a detail shop. dont buy any armorall or junk cleaner from a regular autostore, i believe it will cause your interior to crack because of silicon or other "shiny" substances that hurt the conditioning when sun hits it.

My girlfriend bought me one as a gift and I really like it. It is not anything like the old carpet style dash covers that I am used to seeing. I believe the material is called DashTex or Dash-Tex, something like that. It has a great look to it. She got it from a local company here in Arizona. I think they are on the web also. Try to Google DashTex or I think the company name is CoverYourDash.com. If you cant find them online message me and I will ask my girlfriend to get the exact name of the company.
