Great thread

I am highly considering getting a dash cam after getting into 2 accidents these past few weeks. First one happened in the beginning of March and a girl merged into my lane, side swiped me, and told the cops it was my fault. In the end I had to go through my own insurance because there were two different sides of the story. After a week in the shop, I picked up my car at 4PM and got hit again at 9PM, on the same side, and the same reason. This girl also tried to blame it on me, but thankfully there was a witness otherwise it would've been a repeat of the first one. *Sigh* So now I'm definitely getting a dash cam. After reading everyone's input I'm leaning more towards the one from Amazon. Thanks for the helpful info, guys!

Still not worth the premium, that wouldn't hold up in court at all. However with "video evidence" of any kind. You could prove it using math and time.

This one looks good, only problem I hate with ordering online is playing the wait game. Wondering how those go-pros hold up?

http://www.blackvue.co.uk/
Thats the company's website.
15% discount: Coupon Code DCC15

I did some research and the guy who did this group buy will most likely be doing another one very soon. (he is jus waiting for the company to resolve a firmware issue before he starts it up again) **This is the cheapest way to go with Blackvue
This is the GroupBuy page

Remember he is in Canada so you're gonna have to convert his $210 into USD.
Also will he even ship it to the US?

I still think, from reading some of that thread, that the cheapest is EBAY at $221 including shipping

Any HD dash cam is gonna be worth it's weight. Considering if you're not at fault but get blamed, you've saved yourself a lot in premiums and deductible.

Yes sir. I had the DR400G in my Lexus before I sold it. I know how to hardwire one in for ya.
I had mine tapped straight to the battery so I could record while the car was off.
If I wasn't going to drive the car for 3 or more days I'd unhook the battery terminals so as to not gas out the battery
