Rust Protection!!!

Modern vehicles are rust proofed from the factory. The metal is zinc coated i believe. The under-carriage is covered with undercoating and of course the body is painted.
Using any kind of rust proofing on a new vehicle is useless in my opinion. On a IS, you dont need it unless for some reason, the factory coating has been removed.

I do not own a es300, but my guess is that it does have undercoating. If it didnt, the car would not have lived this far in time. If you are not sure, look under the car, and feel the undercarriage. If you feel a rubber textured surface, it is undercoated. In fact, if it were not coated, you would hear about owners getting their money back from lexus for the rust warranty.
