OEM HID output?
Hey guys,
I searched around and couldn't find much - does anyone know the output of the OEM HID bulbs in the 2IS? I'm looking at the GaraX or Philips bulbs and I want to step up in the lighting department a little. The OEM bulbs just don't cut it for me.
Thoughts?

step up in what way?
lumen output: stock 4.3k puts out the most lumen
color: go with 6k they look real nice but be sure to change your parking bulbs to led to match.

Not much, without doing some modifications. The 2IS headlight housing is quite shallow, which is why the projector uses a side-mount bulb. Personally I find the light output to be quite acceptable.
Retrofitting in a projector with better beam will usually require the loss of AFS (if you have it), and you will need to (in most cases) cut a hole in the back of the headlight for the bulb.
No thanks.
