275/35R18 Toyo R888 on stock rear wheels...
Decided to do something a bit crazy for some reason...crammed 275/35R18 Toyo R888 semi-cut racing tires on the stock rear wheels...some have even said it couldn't be done...
The reasoning for my insanity? I needed new rear tires, I have 2 track events coming up, my friend gave me a sick deal, so I said what the heck...I really don't drive the IS too much anymore, as I have a demo vehicle from my dealership as a daily and a F-150, so again what the heck...
I had them installed and they do bow out some from the wheel, but since I refuse to use spacers the tires actually do a really good job at filling some of the gap...not to mention is looks much tougher from the back now...I will give them a good thrashing this weekend and see just how sticky they are...enjoy the pics (first 2 are before pics, the rest are after).

Not sure if you want to do that. It maybe nice to do, but it may make it look funny as if it does not seem to fit the car cosmetically, if you're looking at it diagonally from behind.
For instance, it can look too big and fat in relation of the car.
