You must mean the lens... I thought u can paint the interior if the projector along with the shield then put on the lens and be good to go. Am i wrong?

Here's a couple of my s2000 projectors to demonstrate what I'm talking about
The inside of the projector is a chrome bowl that reflects the light into the lens on the right, projecting out the light. If you paint the bowl, you don't have that chrome finish anymore. Your light wont work. What I am saying, is you can paint the front of the cutoff shield (facing the projector lens) and not affect your light output because that part never touches any light.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can paint everything that you see in the first picture, but that wont do much, as you don't see it from the outside.

Any idea what color I should go for? Wanting something either blue, green, pink, or red. My car is black with blacked-out headlights and yellow-painted projector shrouds. Also, what light are most who do this using? I'm guessing I'll do a single T10 LED but any other options that aren't too bright?
i think red would look great.......cant wait until your done with it hopefully it is not to difficult to do

Here's an update. I'm about done with my projector fog light retrofit. It didn't come out as great as I hoped for but not bad for my first retrofit. Still not done yet and still not attached together. Might take me a month or two before I do this for my headlights though...
