Think about this also, for the price of a used IS-F you can pretty much get a brand new IS350

True.
I'd rather have a new 350 vs a 50K miles few year old used IS-F.

There are a few benefits to buying used. Often if you get something with 20+k miles on it a lot of the kinks have been worked out and fixed by the manufacturer, it's like a pair of broken in jeans. The problem is-someone else broke them in :P Also, the worst part about buying brand new is of course the depreciation of the vehicle. Everyone knows-you drive it off the lot you lose $3,000.

Only $3K?
Much more than that..
Try getting a trade in number a day or two after driving off the lot.I think you'll be shocked at what the dealer will offer.

So far reading this thread.. If I am getting the IS-F it will likely be a 2010+ (less harsh suspension), and I am likely to install PPE header into the IS-F.. I want grunt power... I did track my IS 350, sway bar made massive different.. but the IS-F will not be track.. they closed our track in our city.

Gas mileage isn't that different from the 350. All time average on my 350 was 22.x, on my F it's 21.x.

Brake maintenance is the biggest difference for regular consumables. Everything else is pretty similar.
This is the way it is. BTW, the stock ISF front sway bar and the F-Sport front sway are the same OD.

there is a reason that f owners don't "downgrade" to a 350 and that 350 owners upgrade to an f.. think about it

IS350... How often you gonna go to the track to actually use what the IS-F has over the 350?

That is the route I took. Bought a brand new IS350 F-Sport rather than a used 08 ISF. Price was in the same range for both cars. Happy with my decision.

I went the same route. Sometimes I wish I had gotten the F instead.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
