Two things-- you probably meant the Lexus dealer in colorado springs--I called them and they told me the same thing but they even throw in extra stuff like an alighment!!!
The lexus dealer in dever wanted $800...still I am going to do it myself and save the cash.
Also Calvin--thanks for the right info on the warranty. While we are here to help each other, we also need to help each other ensure the info is right.

even more importantly the moisture lowers the boiling point of the brake fluid, which can lead to failed brakes in a panic stop.
and the moisture gets in over time regardless of it you even drive the car, which is why I recommend doing it every 2-3 years even if you don't put enough miles on to reach 30k between changes)

1) Cabin Filter
2) Engine Filter
3) Oil change - if not a local mechanic can do it for 20 bucks or less if you can give them the oil and filter you want to use
What you can do at a trusted mechanic:
1) Brake fluid flush - should be less than 100 bucks to do
2) Spark plug change - about 300 or less, lowest quote I received from a trusted mechanic that works specifically with Lexus and Toyota vehicles 200 bucks providing you give them the plugs and gaskets.
That's roughly about 4 to about 500 bucks out of pocket. Success story - I did the filter changes, oil changes on my own. When getting new rims I had my trusted mechanic just put them on and do a brake fluid flush - 50 bucks. Went to the dealer to get my recall done - 180 for the spark plug change.
