Almost DIED tonight thanks Ichiba V2 Spacers

I was thinking about getting spacers as well and was considering that brand. Hmmm.
It's good news to hear you are OK and that you didn't damage your car and that you didn't get jacked by the homeless guy. (I KNOW what you mean about having a "disabled" car in a sketchy area and a "nice" homeless guy offers to help. It's happened to my family and myself before unfortunately. )

Jeez, glad to hear you're alright, not to mention the car and your rims are in one piece too. Might need to have a chat with Ichiba tomorrow... that's pretty scary.
Definitely makes you think twice about safety when it comes to modding your car. I know a lot of us, myself included, forget about that kind of stuff in the pursuit of getting your car to look exactly the way you want it. We take the quality of the parts and installations for granted. There's a lot riding on those stretched-hellaflush wheels...

Were you running hubcentric rings between the spacer and your rims? If not, you might have been putting too much stress on the lugs. I only run the type of spacer with the extended lugs. I can tell you from my experience that the lugs Ichiba uses are better than the ones used by H&R. H&R wheel studs are soft.
