New member = New IS250
Hi there!
My name is Pascal and I turned 25 a few weeks ago. I am (was) a Civic driver until last weekend; the difference is really day and night...I love it!
Anyways, I always wanted a Lexus since I got my license 10 years ago and said I would spoil myself one day, so here I am now, proud new owner of a Lexus IS250 AWD 2011! I bought it directly at the dealership for a great price! It came Lexus Certified + extended full warranty until end of 2019 so I shouldn't have any issues for another few years.
Why an AWD? I live in Canada and we tend to have 15-10 feet of snow per winter...can't wait to have fun with the all wheel drive system.
There's not many pictures because it's still stock, but I'll be posting more later...
Here's my bucket list, let me know what you think!
-Catback exhaust (Not decided on the brand yet)
-OEM Trunk Spoiler
-Black Plastidip rear Lexus Emblem + Remove the AWD and the IS250 Emblems
-Black Plastidip wheels
-Studded Winter Tire
-White/Blue HID light
I would like it to look like that IS250 but sound a little less agressive (that's why I am aiming to install cat-back only) :
Is there any major stuff I should check that you guys are aware (recall, etc.)? I assume Lexus checked them all before selling the car.
The forum looks great, looking forward to hear from you guys!

Welcome to the Club!!! Can't wait to see your progress... I have a 08 IS250 AWD, and I went with the HKS Hi-Power, low tones while idling, awesome growl when you open it up. Aside from that, I did everything else you plan. Hope you enjoy the journey...

Thanks!!! Will definitively look for HKS. I read about M2 as well.. cheap and effective?
Can someone confirm I don't have HID on my car? It doesn't have the LED stripe... I read there could be HID, Halogen or standart bulb? Hard to tell without pulling them off.
I will be ordering 6000k for the low beams and 3000k for the fog lights.

Thanks!
Bought a plastidip wheel kit yesterday and currently looking on ebay for that trunk spoiler! Will probably buy 35W 6000k HID kit for headlight and 35W 3000k HID for fog light instead of halogen bulb... Will be a little tricky to install but surely worth it!
I removed the AWD and IS250 emblems yesterday, too bad there is 2 small holes...I will probably put some painted caulking there or something like that.
Will post picture later on!

Started the Plastidip project yesterday...
I painted only the contour of the grill in the front because I thought a blacked-out emblem in the front would have looked cheap. It turned out great! Not dissapointed at all.
Rear will be perfect once trunk spoiler and exhaust will be installed

Thanks guys! And nice RWD
Finished the front wheels. This is not a good project to do at 40 degrees... But whatever, I'm almost done with the rear wheels!
Car is still on jack, that's why it looks jacked up haha here's a sneak peek :
I left the Lexus emblem chrome, let me know what you think!

Thanks!
I should have sprayed 1 or 2 more layers though... After 5 hours of preparation/painting, I was exhausted and stopped at 4 layers.
Will probably re-spray next spring or use them as winter wheels and get aftermarket for summer
Trunk spoiler + HIDs are next.
