yeah man, I just did a post about a 10 W7 and let me tell you... Im ready to sell it... It truly hits too hard for me...

I put the bass **** all the way down and it still slams... I also have a ported box so I heard its even louder then sealed...

Does your moonroof rattle on wicked low notes? Mine sounds like it is going to shatter... the clanking is in the front>

Clean Install... Watch those ears.

LMAO my whole car flexes like a m.o.f.o. It seriously is to much. I listened to 2 10w7 and the 1 12w7 sounds so much better. I put two of them in to just see before I made my decision and he said to be careful because I would blow my back window. Hows the rattling with your car?

Do what I did and hook up the amp with the bass **** then pop in each one and do an audition. I was planing on going with 2 10w7 and I am so glad I didn't. I like the deeper bass and not the punchier bass and that's what you get with the 10w7's. But everyone is different and so that's why you gotta here them in your car. As a side note pushing the air through the ski port makes a huge difference.

Does your rear view mirror rattle? I have a JL12w6v2, and the only rattle i get inside is my rear view mirror on certain bass notes. Know a remedy?

Who cares if it rattles...take out your woofer then.

I have a 12W7 AE also.....I love JL Audio. Got a JL Audio 1200/1 powering it. I wanna hear it too. Come out to EOS at Stevens Creek Lexus on Oct 2.
Here is what I did. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...with-pics.html

Yes it vibrates like h.e.l.l but at least it does not tilt.down. The remedy would be use your side mirrors

Oh Face you must have listened to those subs in a sealed box... The box I built was Exactly to JL Spec in the manual.. I Used 1" MDF for the entire project so it resonates the soundwaves better.

That W7 10 in a ported box flexes the car, it is way too loud, and it is SUPER LOW... there really isnt a lot of punch in a ported box, too bad your in Cali- I would love to hear your setup and show you how low this thing rumbles... you would be surprised it really is sick.

Oh yeah, on low notes... 3 or 4 notes and the rearview is pointed down... Its really disappointing... I dont see how its possible to NOT have rattling... My whole car looks like it is breathing when my JL 10 is hitting. I have FULLY dynamatted the two front doors. and I have plans on doing the trunk next spring.

If your sub is hitting half as hard as mine, IMO it would be physically impossible not to have rattles.

Yes you are right they were in a sealed box. So maybe that is why. What year is your car? I heard they changed up the rear view mirrors on the 2011's so maybe that is why I do not have a rear view mirror that falls down. Regarding the rattling I had some people over today and they had it up max for a while and we opened all windows and sunroof then decided to close the whole car and they were amazed how clean it sounded. Maybe after awhile I while start to get the rattles but amazingly have none with no dynamat. To bad you didn't live out here so I could let you hear it.

The speaker looks very cleanly installed. If you open the ski latch are you able to see the speaker function?
