Hi, everyone! You may remember me back in 2007 trying to order a manual and having to wait for over 8 months due to the dealership never ordering it in the first place. You all helped so much. My husband at the time, thanked me for being so wonderful to work so hard for him.

Now the bad part. Having a beautiful car like that turns heads and feeds a midlife ego. LOL! His 1995 Integra wasn't a chick magnet like his red IS. It said, I have money!!! I'm doing OK!!!! Oh well. Things for me have gone better than planned.

Here's the meat of my post though. After one year the clutch failed and had to be replaced. He talked the dealership into paying for most of the cost, but they looked at his tires and said he was too hard on the clutch. His Integra lasted for years...and through his son getting it. It had to be stolen to stop working! Well, the new clutch went quickly too. He just traded the IS for a Dodge Challenger with an automatic. My son says he's a puss...you know what.

I'm now driving an 2002 SC430 that I got off of Autotrader in 2009 with 50,000 on it. I paid about 19,000 for it and it's beautiful. I love a Lexus.

I posted this question on the 1st gen. forum too. I'm looking at a Lexus IS300 for my son with 157,000 miles for 7,500. Am I crazy to get one with so many miles? He wants a manual and something fun to drive. This one had one owner, mainly highway miles, and has some dings and stuff. It has been regularly serviced. I want something to be reliable for him. What do you think of the 1st gen manuals???
