Do you have any damage to the door gaskets/window trim with the Yakima rack? I have one, and wanted to mount it so I can quit taking my wife's SUV when I mt. bike but it seemed that the clips were very close to interfering with the window trim.
Also, do you leave it on all the time? Have you noticed any damage to the sheet metal?
Basically the mount is held on by suction cups (although they actually have a pump mechanism to draw a solid vacuum), so it's easy to configure and take on/off.
I don't care to have a bike rack on my roof, so to me this solution is pretty awesome (at least at first glance). I'm gonna have to pick one of these systems up... I checked it out and it's $250 for the single bike mount... not too bad.
We had a series of back to back storms putting up a decent base 16-24 inches. It's better than last year this time of year though so no complaints. Kinda got jumps down, wanna start jibbing but I just canceled my health care... Lol!
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.
REALLY want a roof rack but so damn expensive. Can those with yakima and thule racks chime in on the fitment of the legs? Doors still close ok? Any trim that gets messed up? I know I can get the yakima through sewell for a bit of a discount but the thule rack seems expensive everywhere. Guess I just missed out on the sale?
