Probably at least $23,500 would be my estimate. Have you tried putting your info into www.kbb.com to see how much they give you as an estimate?
Of course you might get a little more at your Lexus dealer since they do want these used IS's right now to resell as CPO's. Carmax might be a good idea too, if there's one around you just go in and ask for them to value your car. I did that for my old car, took them less than half an hour, they handed me the print out and said I have 7 days to come back if i wanna do it, no hassles
clean trade is somewhere around $21000...that 23.5k is a little on the high side. Thats using NADA, most dealers use MMR auctions and Blackbook to value trades as they are much more telling of market conditions
We traded in my car which was an 08 same specs as yours with 35k miles for 23k as a point of reference. Your car is worth somewhere around 21k
Does anyone have a guess as to how much I would possibly get if I traded in my car: Here are the specs:
2007 IS350 SGM/Cashmiere
58k Miles
Heated/Cooled Seats
HID's
Nav
Non-ML
Great Cond.
Best bet is to 1) check kbb.com, 2) go to Carmax and get a quote, 3) check local dealers for quotes. Carmax tends to lowball, so keep that in mind.
I can tell you that 6 months ago, I bought a car that exactly matches yours except it was Obsidian and was CPO - otherwise it was a 2007 IS350 with 56k miles and the same options/condition. I bought it from a dealer for $24,500. Considering CPO adds $1000 or so to that, a comparable non-CPO would have sold for closer to $23,500. Therefore I think you'd be looking more at a $20,000-$21,000 final trade value. Carmax would probably quote you around $18,000-$19,000, leaving you room for negotiation.
yeah u should check out carmax. i heard they pay the most when it comes to selling your car.
Negative. Carmax actually likes to make low offers.
But if you get a quote at Carmax, you should use that as the absolute lowest you will trade the car in for at a Lexus dealer. You can negotiate the trade in value, dealers have some wiggle room.
I went to my local dealer for warranty stuff and they said my car has a trade in value of $20,500 a few months ago. I got an '07 IS350 Obsidian at 49k without NAV or ML. Pretty much base model with heated/cooled seats somehow.
^ That's interesting, because my 07 IS250, 52K miles, no nav/ML, is higher than that!
I don't know man, KBB said I would get $21000 tops from dealer trade-ins and $24000 from private sale. I contacted multiple dealers cause I wanted to get a BMW 335 instead which are around $22k but they were only valuing my car at $20ish.
