my check vsc would always pop up with the check engine light if i was driving really fast and the car would slow its self
down .. i know the vsc is vehicle stabily control & it has to do with the traction control when u loose traction the vsc message comes up & the check engine light comes on (flashes) from my experience. usually when i turn my car off then back on it goes away but the last time it came on i took it to lexus and they rebuilt my engine .. something about the pistons and a misfire in cylinder 6 (there was a recall on is250 06-10 maybe you can bring your car to dealership for a rebuild due to a recall if they find a misfire)

I had the same thing happen with my 07 IS250 for a few days. I drove the car for two days with the light on, then I unscrewed the gas cap and screwed it back on tight. The next morning, the indicator and "check vsc" message disappeared.

Got the car back from the dealer (Sterling McCall Lexus, Houston, TX) last week. They said that the code was "cylinder #5 misfire".
