Noob question: How to change the display info in the Gauge cluster
Title says it all. The wife just recently got a 2011 IS 250 awd and we're still trying to figure out how to work everything. Well yesterday she was showing off the car to her parents and somehow changed the info screen on the instrument cluster from the outside temp to remaining fuel range. We've tried before to change that but problem is we don't know what was hit to change it. So how do you cycle through those readouts??
The button is on the right hand side of the steering wheel. Says menu or display, something like that. Just keep pushing till you see the temp come back up.
Don't forget the satelite buttons on the lower, lefthand side of the dash too. They'll gain you access to things like parking sensors, adaptive headlamps, etc...if so equiped via the cluster.

can the Adaptive headlights be turned on/off?? I'm pretty sure this car has it but when turning the wheels and looking straight at the headlights they don't turn.
and I was messing with that button on the lower left of the dash thinking maybe that would toggle the display up on the dash.
May have to bust out that encyclopedia of a manual! haha

Yes, they can...assuming you have them. Cycle through the available options using the satelite buttons and see what you've got there. You will not see the projectors themselves move at rest...but if moving at a good 20-25mph in a housing development you should be able to see the transitioning of the beam(s). That is of course assuming you have the option turned on.
2011 doesn't have AFS.. so no, your headlights won't swivel when you turn the wheel. They are only auto-level (up/down)... which keeps the glare out of the eyes of oncoming cars.
AFS, that's what it is called. Well shoot, why'd Lexus get rid off one of their fancy toys on the new 2011s? Unless they come standard now with night-vision. LOL!

Lexus dropped a bunch of things for 2011... the "real" sport package.... passenger-side memory seats... PCS... AFS...

Nope, just LED headlights instead. AFS was too expensive.
