Most LED comments compare to Audis. I agree, the 2011 Lexus IS LEDs are nicely done.

No, you didn't understand: I have an '06... the factory DRLs are the dimmed high beams... I had the dealership disable them so they wouldn't be on along with the LED strip (that would look tacky). If the dealership didn't disable them, they would be on in that first photo I showed.

I've got a 2009 350. Which year/model do you have?

For anyone wishing to do this upgrade... the pics below will save you some time and frustration. This is the end result of how the wiring in the harness connector should look to get them to function.
Also, I forgot to mention that you'll need a 2011 (HID headlight version) relay flasher to get the turn signals to function correctly. If not, they will flash rapidly as if one of your signal bulbs blew since you're technically going from 2 bulbs in each side to only 1. With the new flasher, everything will work as normal, including arm/disarm flashes. The part is $60, part # 81980-06020. Hope this helps:

No, this is the connector that plugs the headlight into the rest of the car. The flasher relay is a small cube (no wires) that plugs someplace else inside the car. 1 wire is relocated, and 1 wire is spliced with another. The wire that was cut is partially shown in the first photo, the red one, spliced with the white/black striped wire.

Thanks for the info. As I just mentioned in the previous post, I ordered the Sewell kit. They told me the AFS light simply stays lit, but it sounds like they may be wrong. If it flashes on my car I won't be happy and may not keep the new lights. I'm scheduled to have the Sewell kit installed next Thursday, so we'll see how it goes.

The red wire isn't from the headlight, but is one of the 3 wires that plug into the LED strip (beneath the headlight). And yes, red is LED +.
