How do I mount my JL 500/1 amp? Help!
So I managed to install my JL sub and amp over the weekend. Install went smoothly.
I would like to hear from others who have mounted an amp in the trunk behind the back of the rear seat passenger side. How did you do it? did you just screw it in, or use any mounting hardware? What kind of screws... how long?
Any help with this is appreciated. I know there are wires running behind the rear seats so I don't want to screw into any of them.

lift up the carpet and mount it in the spare tire well with double sided velcro, thats what i did with my rx300. Should be the same. If you ever did need the spare simply pull off the amp move to the side and remove the spare. Its clean and easy to access. Plus you wont have to screw anything.

Thanks for the input guys but I'm very constrained by the length of the wiring. So I can either go on the roof of the trunk, or on the back of the seats.
I bought some Drill-X metal screws and plan on trying to screw it into the back of the seats. Wish me luck.

lol well theres your problem NEVER install anything short prior to mounting, always find a mounting spot and have the wires ran to them properly, anything 1 1/4 inch screw will do , just dont use wood screw please lol make sure its self tapping also so you dont need to make a pilot hole

Question... I got the self tapping screws... Do I need to use a drill with them or can I just use an electric screwdriver???
