What's the furthest you ever driven in 1 day with your IS?
I'm planning to drive up to San Francisco from San Diego this weekend... What's the furthest you driven? Will be my longest trip.. any tips?

19 hours straight from Washington to California. I suggest bring water and get some rest every 2 hours. Make sure you inspect your car of everything before you head out. Like tire pressure, oil, brakes, etc. I would put painter's tape on the front bumper and hood also to avoid rock chips and bugs.

~350 miles, upstate ny to nyc. I agree with the wax front end thing, it'll make clean up waaay easier, and offer some protection against the nasty bug splatter..that stuff is evil on paint

Boise, ID to Denver, CO - 856 mi.
Well my tip would be to avoid Laramie, WY... I'm sure it's a great place, but as a one-time visitor (stopping for gas) I found it a little...scary. Sorry in advance if I offended any WY residents.
I guess my general tip would be to bring snacks and beverages ... and keep your eyes on the road. Too many people not paying attention out there; Definitely helps to drive defensively. Also keep your eye on the semi's.

picked up the car in NY, filled up the trunk and backseat, then drove it STRAIGHT to Miami w a friend. arrived in miami with about 1300 miles on the ODO. the trip took just under 24 hours, including an hour wasted throwing up "fried croc bites" from a gas station.
so, yeah, no break in required for these cars.
