I read thru all the post tonight and think I will be doing this to my SC emblems and my rims are pretty rough so I think I will do them also but I was wanting a more glossy look since my SC is dark green. Here is a vid of a guy doing the rims on an Audi R8 with the plasti dip glossifier. They look pretty sharp. https://www.dipyourcar.com/home.php

Hey, CL members. I plasti dipped my emblems today and everything turned out great but when I was done peeling off the rubber, i cleaned the area around it and I accidentally swiped the corner of the "2" in "IS250" which the corner is now chrome.
Is it possible to just spray over the corner that I messed up on?

First time plasti dipping! Finally did it
I think it looks great on Nebula Pearl, but chrome might look better. I think i like it so much cause ive had the car for almost year without modding it (IMO the front looks way better in chrome)
Waiting for the redouts to arrive in the mail It was sunny so i went to an appartment complex by my house for some shots

Pictures honestly do no justice, it looks amazing n pops off the car like nothing else. And if you dont like it, all you have to do is peal it off.

So i'm getting ready to do this, upcoming this week as a project. I have done quite a few tests on my project car (2003 Ford Focus <---- beater) to test surfaces, sprays, washes, bumps and etc. I was able to do this in a quick wash, 2 spray windex + alcohol rub, and then spray 3 coats.
Findings : Strong, easy coating with over spray on newspaper... Easy, I mean BUTTER Easy peel away after you let it set for about an hour. Finished product was beautiful. Super Simple and easy to apply. Oddly enough it did withstand a powerwash automatic, standard hose, and other methods of washing iwth no issues. Stood up pretty well to my kids scratching at it also.
All in all, simple, long lasting product and if you bust it (meaning Eff up the initial application) just peel off and start again. BRILLIANT!!!!
So excited.

Just finished this for the back of the emblems about a week ago and it turned out awesome. Did the same as the op said about five coats with fifteen min in between. one thing that helped me was 100+ degree days here in dfw tx. im thinking of doing front and the surround in the next few days pics to come
