who has third brake light flasher, is it legal?
Well, I was looking at some Hyundai's, Volvo's, not mentioning Bugatti and other foreign cars who has third brake light flasher. Actually it will blink like five or six times when you initially step on the brake. As European manufacturers state, it attracts more attention to the stopping car and increases safety.
On e-bay and other sites I found few devices for $15-20, who will do this thing, and installation is matter of minutes. Now my question is, - Is it legal or I can be screwed by some officer for properly non working brake lights, as manufacturer made?
Who has them installed? And did you had any problems?

"Any stoplamp or supplemental stoplamp required or permitted by Section 24603 may be equipped so as to flash not more than four times within the first four seconds after actuation by application of the brakes."
That is from the CVC for California. There may be some other CVC that says non oem ones can't blink, so you better check. I do not find the point in this for cars since most people who hit you from the rear are distracted looking down at their dog (happened to me once) or texting. I know some motorcyclist who get pulled over by officers asking about it, so if you do not want more attention form cops, better leave it stock.
