I think 23k is a fairly decent price for an 08 is250 w/ 27k miles! I got my 07 is250 w/nav 26k miles for 23k... I honestly don't believe you should let paying taxes get in the way of your purchase!

wen i saw it, the car was in really really good shape. I mean it has some little (<2mm) scratches here and there but they were like super minor and you couldn't really see cuz it's black he waxed it up and he pointed to me where they were. I have the check list of CPO from lexus and I bet this is nothing different than a CPO from the dealer. But he was too honest that he would rate his car under fair condition just because of those minor scratches and he said "they need repairs from a professional..."
I was not in a "must-have" position of the car. Otherwise, it still can pass the DMV if I put $12k sale price. I mean like some people commented $2k was really brave and I feel scare too that I'm not dare doing that again. u know u dont want the DMV to come after you. But I mean $12k is fair but he was like... no however much he sells thats how much he's gonna put down.

Even putting 12k down is dumb. Wait till the IRS audits you, you will be so screwed. Effing IRS is auditing me right now for my last 5 years financial checking every single dollar that I spent.
