Wiper blades (merged threads)

Has anybody actually got the Michelin Stealth wiper blades to work? I just got some and they don't snap on to the hook properly. If not that sucks because they're really nice wiper blades.

Time to bring this thread back to life. I ordered inserts from Sewell, but they seem to be twice as thick, and my metal guides are to long. Anyone out there with some input? Also does anyone have the correct p/n for 2006 is250 wiper inserts so I can cross reference with whatbthey sent me?
Thanks!

22" Driver side wiper.
I just go to Autozone and buy a new blade, not refill. Easier and better.
Currently running the TRICO SENSE TEFLON EDGE. Loving it.

Hard to find refills anymore, by the way. Manufacturers originally had a single wiper size, but some later went to narrow blades and others used wider blades. With the popularity of the "cab forward" design of cars, using a longer arm on the driver's side became necessary. Having standard, wide and narrow refills as a choice (not to mention that if anyone changed the entire blade on a car that came with narrow blades made choosing the correct replacement an issue), refills have become a thing of the past. Changing the entire blade is so much easier than jacking around with a refill anyway. Not to mention that the spring mechanism in the blade wears out and will not hold the wiper on the windshield with the correct amount of force over time. I am using the Rain-X Repel blades and love them. They are the same as the Latitude blades, but come with a Rain-X wipe treatment for the windshield. They have been on the car for almost a year and still work great. Do keep in mind that if you think you need wipers you should do two things before buying. First, clean your windshield. Second, clean your wipers with an alcohol wipe. If you still have streaking or poor wiper performance, replace the blades. Most people that buy new wipers have a dirty windshield. As for the Michelin wipers, I had a guy tell me a long time ago (10 years?) that the best wipers he ever used were Michelin. I had no idea at the time that Michelin even made wiper blades. I may try them next, just to see. I always had great luck with Trico, but they are harder to find now. My only complaint with the Rain-X is that the way the hook attaches to the wiper makes it look a little conspicuous. Other than that, totally satisfied.

Here's the wiper insert (rubbers) for the IS model:
Driver side insert: 550 mm (21.65 inches), 200
Passenger side insert: 500 mm (19.68 inches), 199
For any wiper blade inserts you receive from use you'll want to double-check the length of each insert and the model number of the blade to ensure we sent you the correct inserts.
Hope this helps,
Darrel

I just got mine from the dealer. I was planning to install it myself, but a nice service guy installed it for free. $33 total. Out of the door in 15 minutes. Plus a good feeling of gratification of owning a great car.
Used it during my drive back from work. Smooth, clean operation. Happiness !!!
