WTF! 2 Cars, 2 Days, 2 Dead Batteries! Is it the Toyota Anti Theft?
Long story short, yesterday I walked to my car in the pouring rain and hear a very silent alarm/horn sound. The car had very MINIMAL POWER, but there was power kinda of. The radio was working but no volume for example. But the car wouldn't turn over or anything. I don't know what caused this to happen, but my best guess is that I pushed the panic button in class and it caused my alarm to go off.. But that's only a guess, because my car was almost a football field away and i was in class, on the other side of a building.. The damage-burned out xenon headlight.. best guess because if the alarm was ringing continuously I would assume the xenon bulb got messed up from the light turning on and off. And also my check VSC, check engine, and trac. control light were all on. After I unplugged the battery however, everything was fixed.. just the battery
Today I drove my dad's truck to work. Went during break to grab a cd from inside.. locked the door and went back..after work i walk to the truck and it was like deja vu all over. THE SAME EXACT NOISE. AND I COULD NOT OPEN THE CAR WITH THE KEYLESS ENTRY, I HAD THE USE THE KEY. When I looked at the dash their was this red light blinking, an icon of a car with a key in the middle of it. The noise did not go away until I put the key in the ignition and every time I pull it out, the noise would come back.
Got the truck jump started and it got power back. Now the car is starting just fine. Nobody tried to break into the car, and plus it is parked in a very safe lot w/ security and it is gated. Nothing was on that could have drained the battery.. and nobody hit the car to cause the alarm to go off.
THE ONLY thing that could have caused anything was the rain and it has rained here in socal for the past 4 days. PLEASE HELP.. IS this a Toyota anti theft issue?.. I did not not notice that blinking red light on my IS350 yesterday. But this has been an extremely frustrating couple of days. It's almost like someone is messing with me or I forgot how to drive..

That's the thing, if I did the battery would have been drained completely. But the fact that I had semi power, but very limited trips me out.. IT 2 cars, come on. I don't get it. I'm the only person I know who's been having these problems. Both times happened after I went to the car, turned the radio on and turned the car off. Locked it and walked away..
