Ok, figured out how to make iGo8 work as well as iGo Primo.

CLT - can the 2ng gen support mp4 movie files? I could have sworn somewhere on flyaudio site it said it does but im having difficulty making my unit see the files from my usb.

Anyone know if you can hookup a keyboard to this over USB? I'm pretty curious.

That's a bit of a downer...Preamps are a must for a quality sounding aftermarket install. Thanks for the quick replyLove your setup.

And that's the problem with my system but it's too much of a challenge to do another option. It's like an OEM unit.

Understood. This unit is great as an improved OEM option of sorts with OE aesthetics.

However, the audiophiles out there such as myself will be going for the glove box aftermarket head unit again...I would just hate to tear up that masterpiece of a dash.

I have seen some that have attempted putting an aftermarket radio in the dash on this forum with disappointing results.

For sound quality its about the amp and the speakers. The Head Unit should just be putting out clean preamp signal!! my 2cents

sorry just frustrated

There's a member that managed to get a kenwood into the factory radio location and it came out pretty clean.

Has anyone with a Gen 2 system tried to hook up the back up camera yet?

My backup camera worked great with my Gen 1 system but it's not working on the Gen 2. It says "TIP: Video Signal not detected."

I even put back in my Gen 1 to make sure it still works and it does. And yes, I do have backup camera "ON" in the settings.

Also, AM radio reception is very bad. A lot worse than what I had in the Gen 1 which was already not as good as OEM. And yes, I had an audio installer make sure all the connections are in place.

Just curious, is the wiring the same, just like as if the factory nav, so one could do like a hot swap? I heard that the hook up of the factory nav is different - something about the antenna?

My AM radio reception is close to non existent where I live. Its not just the AM, the FM is a lot weaker compared to the stock unit as well. If you live in an area with a good signal, you won't notice the difference, but if you are far like myself, you will definitely notice the difference. Don't know why they don't use better radio chips on these units!
