06 Sirius radio question
I just bought a 06 is 350 and has part of the deal I made was to have factory Sirius radio installed since it the car did not have sat radio already. So I took delivery of the car with an appointment to bring the car back and have the Sirius unit installed and a couple small things fixed under warranty. So besides the service department at my dealer (Diffeo Lexus) being completely disorganized. They call me today and tell me that the sat radio tuners both XM and Sirius modules for 06 MY is's are discontinued. So the service advisor tells me he can install an Audiovox unit that will work just like the factory module, operate through the factory NAV, display info on the NAV screen etc and be covered under warranty. So my question is has anybody heard of this Audiovox unit? I did some searching on here and didn't find any talk of this Audiovox unit.

Was Sirius even offered on 06s? for some reason I though only XM was offered in 06.
the XM unit is WAY WAY WAY easier to install though, it goes under a panel in the trunk and just plugs in...versus the Sirius one that requires opening up the dash and I think mounts under the passenger seat... and they both carry about the same programming now anyway... not familiar with the audiovox unit, but they're not generally the best name in car audio.

I believe the Sirius module was offered for the '06 MY for a short time, but like Kurtz said, was an installation nightmare. I don't think the problem with the unit, but with the antenna, which mounts on the front windshield. It was also known for poor reception.
