I had a graco something-or-other rear facing seat for a long time in mine. It was one of the larger seats and fit snugly (in the center), but fine as long as the seat wasn't all the way back. Forward facing seats are a cinch.

I dont feel this car is "safe" IMO for this....there where a few threads and I am parting ways with my car for this and many other reasons. If you have a dedicated car for the baby stuff that will help out but we dont live in a perfect world so know that the IS will get used at times for this reason. I can try to take pics and put it in my car later today to show you and where I have my seat positioned. There may be smaller seats out there?? but I want the baby protected
are you expecting or do you have one now??

I had installed one for a day on the drivers side just for a day of travelling, but didn't feel it was safe on the sides and the middle doesn't seem secure either. It's a little tight. I agree with Passnu on having a dedicated baby car : )
