Default Mileage Check - Anyone replace their tires?

I have 12k miles on the current tires and they seem like they should last to 20k miles or so. Anyone replace their tires due to wear? If so, how many miles did you get and what did you replace them with.

I've got almost 19k miles on my original Dunlops... Looks like they'll go an easy 22k before needing replacement. This is on an IS350.

I have 11,500 miles on my IS350 now and the tires look good. I would estimate that they will last about 20-25k before needing replacement.

I have 16k on my original Dunlop Sport tires and still have an easy 5k left with them in the rear and at least 10k left in the fronts. I don't plan on staying with these Dunlop tires and will be replacing all 4 with Michelin PS2's at the 20k mark.

This is encouraging - sounds like IS350 owners w/ Dunlops are getting at least 20k on the OEM tires . . .

12K miles on stock Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. Enough tread for 25K.
I will change come early summer time at roughly 20K-21K miles when I get my 19'' wheels. These tires have been great...probably more the 350.

14,000 on Dunlops and still looking great, very surprised with no tire rotation and a tread wear of 240. I'm very happy with my Dunlops.

After reading CR ratings, etc., I am planning to get those next time, too. Assuming you replaced Dunlops with the Contis, what differences have you noticed in road noise, or ride comfort? Thanks in advance for your observations.

I have 20k and they still have plenty of tread, but 80% of my miles are highway miles. Honestly I can probabaly get 40k out of them, since I'm almost always on the interstate.

And to clarify, you have the OEM 18" wheels with Dunlop Z rated rubber on them? If so, I'd be absolutely amazed if you managed 40k miles on them.

I've got 10k miles on mine, and I'd say they've got another comfortable 10k to go. 40k... forget it. I drive 95% highway as well.

Yes they're on the stock Dunlop 18's aired up to 35 up front and 40 in the rear.

I must drive like a grandma then, compared to the kind of wear you guys are getting.

Honesty, I drive the car pretty hard in stop and go traffic, too.

Maybe I got a miracle set of tires.

The driving experience between the two are about the same. Keep in mind I'm not the most agressive driver. I mostly bought the Contis because they had a high treadwear rating and were cheaper.
