Default Any 2IS members paint/vinyl their roofs black?

Hey guys, just wondering how many people have painted their roofs black or placed vinyl on it. I've seen a couple of pictures of some on here, but I don't know if people are painting them or doing something else. I've seen a 350z with a vinyl black roof. However, it was done decently and I could see bubbles in the vinyl.

Would putting a layer of black vinyl on our roofs make our cars look cheap or people can't even tell unless they examine it?

well, to be honest, IMO even the most professionals can't make it perfect right? unless he/she is willing to spend like 6 or 7 hrs on the vinyl, that will make the gap LESS noticable. Of course painting it will have a nicer and better result, but it's non-removable.

i personally like it, i dont think it matters what color your car is, but i do believe that it should be the shiny black like how the ES350 has it, very nice, why didnt we get that option like the ES, is there some specific reason why those cars have that option...

I'm looking to get mine done this weekend. I prefer vinyl since it's removable and cheaper. It makes me feel the car looks like having a lower center of gravity, and that's what I like the best of doing this mod, especially to a WHITE car!

It all depends on the installer. My roof looks like paint - the surface is shiny, smooth, and there are no bubbles anywhere. People can't tell it's vinyl until I tell them.

I think it's funny how scion's come up every time people talk about blacking out their roof, but no one mentions the other 2,564 cars that come with OEM black roofs... May just be that people here have Toyota on the brain.
