Default Issue with Illuminated sill installation - no illumination

Good evening, all.

Installed the white illuminated sills on my '07 IS350 today. Took all of 10 min for the pull off, plug in, and pop-on installation.

That said, I have no illumination on either sill and am now wondering if perhaps I missed something. The supplied sills plugged directly in to the harness via the open connector. I re-checked both and they are firmly plugged in, yet there is no light forthcoming.

Did I miss something? It seemed pretty straightforward.

(Installed the sport pedals too. What a freakin' horrible place to put that other connector...)

I would say try to play around with your light settings on near the moon roof control.

A lot of times people forget to set the door light on. Hopefully that will solve your issue.

Do you have the door button on the overhead console switched ON?

Thanks, all!

That was it. Probably would have never occurred to me. Works now.

They look great. They really 'pop' at you when you open the door, even in the daylight, they added add to the look of the interior.

And (barring being an idiot like me and not thinking about having the dome light turned off) they are a 10 minute exercise to install. Pull off the old ones, connect the harness, pop the new ones in place. Done. I took some pics along the way, but really, it is about as PNP as you get.

Is there any way to make it so that it isn't tied to the "Door" light being on/off? Similar to the way the small light on the bottom of the door lights up regardless of the "Door On/Off" setting.

Yes....It's one method of installation on 06's that aren't Plug and Play.

You tap into the back of the door switch button, which is accessed by removing the b-pillar piece on the interior.
