Default Clicking Noise after Joe Z pipe install

I installed the Joe Z pipe toady. Took me a while since i was carefull with everythinhg. Im not a modder. Well im not sure if there was a clicking nose before, because i never really opened my hood and listned for it.

But after i installed the pipe and let it run for a min, just as i was about to put the cover back on a clicking noise started coming. Like i said i dont know if this was there before i installed the pipe. I also made sure that the pipe isnt touching the throttle body or the air box.

CAn some one help me out

Was a cold start? Heard something that the 350s use the port injectors for cold runs then when it starts to warm up a little it switches over to the direct injectors which makes that ticking sound. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

direct injection? might be that u never noticed until now, after u installed the pipe.

it should be a ticking like sound, thats normal.

its a constant click right? like a machine generated click? thats your direct injection, as you said you never had your hood up before with the engine running thus its a new sound to you, leave the pipe in. The clicking is normal.

Thanks guys. Actually i really felt a difference. I made a u urn on a street and then floored it, DAMN!!!!!!! tires tried to spin as much as they could but the traction kicked in. I was amazd!!!! definatly a buy.

Actallu i hope the dealer doesnt give me a hard time about this.

And i got instuction how to install it from Joe Z, why is that he said that not to to touch the sensor around the air box.

I installed everything and when i got to the step to put in the air filter it was hard because i basically had take the whole thing apart again tp out in the filter. I just said screw it.

And one question, stock filter is soo big in depth. Why is that??? the HKS filter that i ordered i soo thin.

More air flow, will probably mean less filtration

So should i put in a HKS filter??? The thing is that its hard tp take the air box up since the sensor is on it. I didnt touch the sensor when i first tried it but i touched the wire thou because it as in the way when i had the air box up.

But still that wire makes it hard for me to install the new filter.
