My advise thou... dont get cheepo knock off ricer brand rims, go high end like AME/Work/Weds/Volk the reason is that in a yr if you get tired of them they will still retain their value if you sell them. Pricey thou but very worth it in the long run.
Black wheels are played out, every Tom, ****, Harry, and Soccer mom has them. Silver is still the best bet, at least in my book. In which case you should look at these wheels I am selling. 19 inch Work Varianza T1S custom made for the IS250/350:
I wish I could take them but I had to pay the IRS $10000 to finance the war. Our quality of life goes down to bring Iraqs quality of life down as well, but hey Haliburton makes out well at the expense of the tax payers, so I guess not all is lost.

what are your plans with the car after the wheels? a kit? bags? do you plan on lowering the car? dump it?
wheels are a very important when selecting the right ones. first i would do with design, if you want a subtle simple clean look, i would say a simple 5 spoke design wheel ie: VOLK GT-s something a little more aggressive would be WORK VS-xx and like stated above, if you want to go VIP, a full face wheels choice would be wise.
then goes to wheel size, all depending if you want to look flush? or have some pokage with plans of dumping the car with come camber. normal conservative set up for a 2IS would be 19x8.5 + high 30's and 19x9.5 + mid 40s. thats pretty conservative with 235/35/19 and 275/35/19 tires. that should run you no problems with no rubbing if you just plan on simply adding lowering springs.
you can go with an aggressive set up with 19x9 + mid 30's and 19x10 + mid 30s with 235/35/19 and 255 or 265/35/19 tires depending on your drop.
you then can go pretty nuts like me and run a super aggressive set up but have to sacrifice tire size.
with a budget of $3000, you can get some decent wheels, preferably forged for strength. I got my wheels through Aspec products. they have all types of wheels and are authorized dealers of WORK wheels.
