Default Difference between ML system w/ Nav and w/o Nav

What are the major differences between the ML upgrade system in the IS with the Nav screen vs. without the Nav?

My main concerns are:

Is the Surround Sound mode defeatable in the non-Nav version?

Is the ASF mode defeatable in the non-Nav version?

Besides playing DVD videos thorugh the Nav screeen, is there anything ekse the Nav version will do that the non-Nav version will not?

Really? That's strange if it has the hardware. However, that's no major loss. DVD-A was a dead format 5 years ago.

My guess is they just don't put a dvd player/reader in the non-nav version.

Not only is it a dead format the DVD-A selection that was available is horrible!

Correct- the ML without Nav does -not- include a DVD changer.

You'll note that ML without nav is no longer listed on lexus.com as a standalone option- this is a direct result of my experience receiving a car with ML and without Nav and not receiving the DVD changer that was listed as part of the ML package (regardless of getting Nav with it).

Both things you ask about (turn off ASL, turn off surround) are available with the non-nav ML.
