2008 Lexus iPod interface kit (merged threads)
Been a while since I posted anything in here but i think this would be worthy of a post. So here's my contribution to the forum.
So I was browsing around techinfo.lexus.com and found instructions for an iPod interface from lexus. Looks like they're making one for 2008. If anyone gets this, please report back and tell us how it is.
Thanks.

Hope its ok to post docs from this website.

I've had it fitted by my local Lexus Dealership in the UK...works fine. It allows the use of the steering wheel controls to switch tracks/volume control etc: and turns off and on/charges the battery of the iPod. Only problem is it plays by Playlists, the first playlist comprising all of the tracks on the pod so you can play the lot by random shuffle or make up your own Playlists for more control.

Does anybody know how much it cost and where to get it cause i went to Lexus today and give them the part number and they couldn't give a price. The parts guy said that they have to call the mainland....from HawaiiCL.

interestingly this unit sounds exactly like the Vaistech unit, even in how it installs, and the fact that it runs on playlists......I wonder how much it is vs. the vaistech unit....
I have the vaistech unit in 2 of my cars and Im very pleased.....
